Teams let loose in Malawi – action on the field

After extensive training of the supervisors and interviewers, our teams were finally sent out to the field to interview our respondents in June for a period of about two months.

Some of the villages we went to were not easily accessible and locating our respondents was not an easy task. We often relied on scouts who, on the day before a scheduled interview, helped us locate the respondents and arranged appointments with them.

While interviewers and supervisors were in the field interviewing respondents, another team arranged the data room, performed daily data quality checks and made sure that things were in place to charge the tablets and batteries in the evening for the activities scheduled for the following day.

The images below illustrate their fieldwork in brief.
