The Population Aging and Health in Middle and Low Income Countries Workshop took place at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perry World House on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday, September 8, 2018 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Perry World House is dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary, policy-relevant approaches to the world’s most urgent global affairs challenges. It connects researchers with leading policy experts from around the world to develop and advance innovative policy proposals.
This workshop focused on bringing together many researchers working on population aging and health in low and middle income countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America to share their expertise and knowledge.
It was sponsored by the Population Aging Research Center and Population Studies Center at the University of Pennsylvania, and the r4d project on “Inclusive Social Protection for Chronic Health Problems” at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.
